About
My name is David C. Freeman. I have been into computers for well over 20 years. I entered this field because, like many I wanted to create video games. I’m currently working as a multimedia developer for a small medical media research group in Miami. NxtGen Media is my consulting company that came into existence from the many outside projects that I do.
Working with Flash, Flex, PHP, various game engines, Second Life, and OpenSim I work on developing new ways to implement and deploy medical based training and applications over the web, as well as creating games and gamelets in my spare time. I believe we are at a transition point in web based media.
Things are changing fast, and it’s looking like a 3D web is inevitable, as well as all media being in our hand. I don’t know what company and web development environment will rise to the top, but it’s obvious a new paradigm is coming. This site exist to serve as a record of my run with this next generation of multimedia and the things that I learn on the way and other things that interest me. Should be an interesting ride.
